The arrest of one of the most wanted criminal kingpin in the country, Chukwudem Onwamadike a.k.a Evans has come with several revelations including his kidnap syndicate and how he made over $7billion from the illegal trade.
Speaking on the arrest, the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris noted that Evans has truly changed the face of kidnapping in the country while calling for stiffer punishments including life sentences for arrested kidnappers.
However, Evans who reportedly owns three luxury mansions, two in Ghana, one of which his wife, Uchenna Precious and his children stay has demaded to meet the reporter who had a chat with his wife.
According to report, Evans, who has been behind bars for over a week has been demanding to meet with Vanguard reporter, Emma Nnadozie, who spoke to his wife.
Sources said Evans has been appealing to policemen guarding him to “please, in the name of God, beg Emma Nnadozie of Vanguard to come and see me let’s discuss something about my wife he spoke with on phone.”
Evans according to Vanguard is however being prepared to be transported to the Police Force’s Headquarters in Abuja to “meet with the police hierarchy for thorough interrogation over his criminal activities.”
Report indicate that efforts are being made to prepare him for the Abuja meeting which may involve him meeting with the IGP, Ibrahim Idris.
