Microsoft’s Bill Gates has yet again been dethroned as the world’s richest man.
According to recent financial standing, the Microsoft’s co-founder, Bill Gates has traded his position on the World’s wealthiest chart to Spanish retail tycoon and Zara co-founder Amancio Ortega.
Amanico Ortega became the world;s richest man on Tuesday afternoon before losing the spot back to its former occupier, Bill Gates.
The tight competition between the two saw Ortega take the lead with a few millions over Bill Gates who later climbed back to the top position.
The two were as of 1:45PM, EST, battling for the top position as Ortega finally triumphed at 2:00 pm.
Bill Gates as of 1:45PM, EST, maintained the top position with a net worth of $84.722 billion while Zara boss’ trailed with $84.72 billion. However, at 2:00 PM, Ortega overtook Gates to gross in at $7 million higher than Gates.
The tide however did not still for long as Ortega was shoved back to the second position finishing $100 million behind Bill Gates.
The changing tides comes after Jeff Bezos of Amazons was announced the world’s richest man for some minutes as his net worth surged above $90 billion.
