Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that his biggest challenge right now is the reintegration of the Internally Displaced People in the North East.
According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President spoke at the opening of the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development holding in Nairobi, Kenya.
The President said he was concerned about re-uniting over two million Internally Displaced Persons who are victims of Boko Haram insurgents with their families.
He promised to ensure full and proper rehabilitation of the IDPs.
He acknowledged international support aimed at aiding the IDPs rehabilitation.
He also promised to find lasting solutions to combat threats of terrorism in the country.
