A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, has shared his reaction as a man he barely knew sent him photos of a private jet priced at $2.8 million.
Taking to his Facebook page on Friday, Moghalu said that being famous did not automatically translate to having stupendous wealth.
At the official rate of N432.04/$1, the jet costs N1.2 billion.
Moghalu, who was the 2019 presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), said he was happy flying commercial despite the challenges that sometimes come with it.
He wrote:
Someone I don’t know just sent me a message with photos of a private jet for sale at $2.8 million. I smiled. “This man think say I fit buy plane”, I said to myself. “Him no know say big name is not necessarily big money for pocket”. I fly commercial, happily, with all the wahala wey come join.
