Former Big Brother Naija reality show participant, Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, popularly known as Doyin, recently shared a candid revelation about a past attempt to bleach her skin. In a video message posted on her Instagram story, Doyin disclosed that she once purchased a bleaching cream with the intention of achieving a lighter complexion.
Reflecting on the experience, Doyin expressed relief that the bleaching cream turned out to be ineffective. She admitted that, initially, she was disappointed by the lack of results but now recognizes the blessing in disguise. “There was a time I really wanted to bleach my skin. I wanted to be light-skinned so bad. I’m so grateful to God that that cream did not work. Because I would have regretted it,” she shared in the video.
Doyin went on to acknowledge the seller of the cream, delivering a surprising message of gratitude. “I need to shout out to that girl that sold me that cream because at that time I was angry, but now thanks, girl,” she added.
The reality star emphasized that if the bleaching cream had been successful, she would have regretted altering her natural skin tone.
