Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich has rejected a bid by Britain’s richest man Sir Jim Ratcliffe to buy the club.
Sir Ratcliffe, who is worth £21billion, offered to buy Chelsea on Saturday according to reports but was turned down.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is the Chairman, Founder and major owner of chemical firm INEOS and his company currently owns a Swiss club named Lausanne-Sport.
His company INEOS is a multinational chemicals company headquartered in London, UK, and with registered offices in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, UK and London, United Kingdom.
Chelsea’s management announced that they would halt the redevelopment of Stamford Bridge, the club’s stadium, in a move not unconnected to the visa issues surrounding club owner Abramovich .
