Despite the result of 1-1 perhaps suggesting otherwise, it was a thrilling display at the Hawthorns as West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal battled it out for a draw.
Both sides had plenty of chances and a point each was a fair outcome, so here are the best and worst performers for the Gunners in Birmingham.
The best…
Mesut Ozil
Not the dominant performance that fans in north London have become used to since the German arrived from Real Madrid, but Ozil still oozed class and played some superb passes.
Tomas Rosicky
Breathed some attacking life into the side when the Czech Republic international came off the bench and played a nice pass for Jack Wilshere’s equaliser.
Jack Wilshere
It was hardly the best performance that the England international has ever given, but the equalising goal was well taken and Wilshere was always present in attack.
The 21-year-old’s role in left midfield is not completely natural and the Englishman looked more comfortable when switched to the middle.
The worst…
Kieran Gibbs
The left-back was good at supporting on the left flank, but Gibbs’ crosses were wayward and the defender could have been better positioned when Claudio Yacob scored for West Brom.
Olivier Giroud
Looked a little isolated up-front and despite a good start to the season, Giroud is not quite the complete package yet.
The Frenchman had one effort that was well saved by goalkeeper Boaz Myhill, but was generally stifled by the Baggies defence.
Aaron Ramsey
A surprisingly lacklustre display from the Welshman considering Ramsey’s start to the campaign so far, but a knee injury that occurred in the week seemed to still be hindering the midfielder.
The 22-year-old was substituted for Rosicky in the second half.
