However, a lot of us are prone to skin allergies and adverse effects from the chemicals and preservatives that may have been included in the production of the carrot oil. It is therefore better to make them naturally by ourselves to avoid the risk of bad effects.
Carrot oil is absolutely beneficial for both hair and skin. Carrots contain nutrients like Vitamins A, C and E, beta-carotene and a host of others that have conditioning properties and serve as moisturizers for the skin or the scalp.

Procedure for making Carrot oil
Ingredients:
- 2 fresh carrots
- Coconut or olive oil
Instruction:
- Wash the carrots and peel its skin.
- Grate the carrots with grater.
- Put the grated carrots into a small pot and pour the oil (coconut or olive).
- Place the pot on heat and reduce to the lowest then allow to infuse for 1 to 3 full days(Optionally if you have a crock pot, Place the grated carrots into the crock pot and pour oil. Cover and set your crock pot to its lowest setting). Take note that the oil starts to form orange color.
- After infusion, pour mixture into strainer or straining cloth and strain.
- Pour strained oil into a container and refrigerate until you are ready to use it.
Note: The carrot oil can last about 6 to 8 months when properly stored.
