The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange depreciated for the third day in a row. The ASI depreciated by -1.14% to close at 30,752.63 basis points. The total number of deals recorded on the floor however increased from 3,015 recorded yesterday to 4,168 today, a 38.24% increase.
The total value of all transactions recorded increased to ₦4 Bn, a 136.42% increase. The volume of transactions on the floor today, however reduced by 29.57%. Market Capitalization reduced from ₦10.66 trillion to close at₦10.54 trillion at the close of trading today.
Market breadth for the day was negative as TOTAL led 10 Gainers against 35 losers led by SEPLAT.
Eight out of the nine Indexes that track the performance of the market ended in red today, a significant blow to gains recorded last week. The ASEM Index however remained static.
ZENITHBANK was the most actively traded stock by volume on the exchange today, with 77,626,492 valued at ₦1.24 Bn traded. GUARANTY, FBNH, UBA and NIGERINS completed the list with a combined volume of 99,081,345 shares traded.
The NSE Year-To-Date currently stands at -11.27%.
