Tensions flared in the Big Brother Naija Season 9 house as the pair Wanni X Handi nearly came to blows with Rhuthee following a revelation by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during Sunday’s live show.
Ebuka had asked Rhuthee to clarify her comment about Wanni being “selfish and stingy.” Rhuthee explained that she had previously made a similar remark in Wanni’s presence, noting that while Wanni is stingy with her food, she enjoys sharing with others.
The revelation seemed to spark animosity between Rhuthee and the twins, Wanni and Handi. The situation escalated into a heated argument that almost turned physical, but other housemates intervened just in time.
Rhuthee confronted the twins after overhearing them talking about her, challenging them with, “If dem born you well call my name.” The twins responded in unison, “Rhuthee! Rhuthee! Rhuthee! You cannot do anything. Pepper body!”
Following the altercation, Wanni confided in Handi and Kassia, accusing Rhuthee of trying to provoke a fight to gain publicity. “She [Rhuthee] is a fake girl, waiting for something to happen for us to fight and give her highlights but I won’t,” Wanni said. “The karma that she’s one of the contestants that people want to see out of this house is enough for me. You know, she overthinks a lot. So, I know by now, her heart will be beating fast.”
