In a recent virtual interview from Lagos, the ‘No Loose Guard’ pair from Big Brother Naija, Zion Ogiefa and Chinwe Elibe, shared how the reality show positively influenced their relationship.
The Zinwe pair, who were evicted during the live show on Sunday, admitted to having several misunderstandings while on the show. These issues even led them to consider ending their relationship at one point.
Chinwe explained, “Going into the show has impacted positively on our relationship. Now, we know how to handle situations better. If we hadn’t been on the show, we would have handled our real-life issues differently and probably broken up earlier. Being in Biggie’s house allowed us to confront situations as a couple, and walking through them has made us stronger.”
Zion added, “The Big Brother Naija show was definitely a learning experience for us. We have learned patience and resilience. I had good relationships with most of the people in the house, so it was not a bad experience. It was fun and educational, allowing me to engage with people I didn’t know before and learn about new cultures.”
Despite the rocky days on the show, the Zinwe pair assured their fans that their relationship remains strong. Zion emphasized, “Big Brother Naija has come and gone, but our relationship is still standing strong. We didn’t start the relationship based on BBNaija, so it won’t end on the show. Our relationship was just five months old when we entered the show, and we knew it would come with lots of criticism and scrutiny. We were ready for that. We also understand that having rocky days in a relationship is normal. If there are no rocky days, it means the relationship is not healthy. The rocky days were a learning process.”
