Karl-Heinz Rummenigge will remain Bayern Munich chairman until at least 2019, the German record champions announced on Friday.
Bayern and Rummenigge, 60, extended his expiring contract for three years.
He thanked club president Karl Hopfner and the rest of the supervisory board `for the trust and serious and constructive collaboration.’’
The former German international Rummenigge began his playing career with Bayern in 1974. In 1991, he became club vice-president before taking the chairman post in 2002. (dpa/NAN)
