The immediate-past President Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to the rejection of his family members by card readers used for accreditation in the ongoing Bayelsa gubernatorial election.
Jonathan had gone to the polling booth with his wife, mother and others to be accredited but their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) were rejected by the card readers.
In a reaction, he said: ‘”About five people who came with me including my mother, my elder sister and a former commissioner in Bayelsa State were rejected. These are known people, they cannot go and carry a fake or cloned card, yet the card reader rejected them for accreditation.”
Jonathan however appealed to Bayelsans to keep the peace in order to ensure a free and fair election.
