President Buhari shook things up within the NNPC by bringing about a new Group Managing Director a post formerly held by Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.
Kachikwu was relieved of the position presumably to enable him focus on his other duties as state minister for petroleum. He will also take the position of Chairman of the corporation.
Kachikwu handed over officially to Baru yesterday with the latter tasked with leading the NNPC into a new era of productivity and success.
