Renowned Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has revealed that his decision to take on a role in the blockbuster movie ‘Brotherhood’ was driven by a desire to test his acting prowess. Although not fully immersed in the acting scene, Basketmouth expressed satisfaction with his performance and hinted at the possibility of returning to the screens if presented with another compelling script.
In a recent online interview, the versatile entertainer shared insights into his venture into acting, stating, “I featured in ‘Brotherhood’ because I was curious to see if I could pull it off, and I want to believe I did. I just might take a shot at acting again when I get a good script with a daring character.”
Known for his successful career in comedy spanning 25 years, Basketmouth disclosed exciting plans for the year 2024, teasing a mix of projects that extend beyond his comedy roots. The comedian-turned-actor expressed enthusiasm about exploring new opportunities within the walls of movies and music.
“My team and I have been working tirelessly for a couple of years now preparing for 2024. I have been a comedian for 25 years now, and I believe it is time to explore new opportunities in movies and music,” Basketmouth revealed.
