Lionel Messi has won and done everything with Barca and at the age of 32 its no strange thing to see the Catalans shopping for a replacement to their star man. Messi in his illustrious career won several Spanish La Liga titles and Champions Leauge titles at Camp Nou. A career that saw him become the World Best Player for a record six-time is now and slowly but surely drawing to its inevitable conclusion.

Barcelona brought Brazillian Phillipe Coutinho as a viable consideration to replace their talisman but the move didn’t pan out at the end of which Coutinho was shipped off to Inter Milan. Neymar Jr. would probably not reach the same height as the Argentine but surely qualifies to drive a team of the magnitude of Barca but after the failed attempt to sign back their former player last summer the Catalans seem to be looking in other directions, at least for now.
Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Greizmann are great but they may find too great a shoe to step into in the Argentines. Dembele’s volatility off the pitch and worrying relations between Messi and Greizmann does little to promote matters for themselves.
Barcelona rivals, Real Madrid has been poised to sign English wonder-kid, Jordan Sancho but Barca are have now joined the race to sign the player from Borussia Dortmund. Manchester United and Manchester City are also reported to be in pursuit of the in-form English forward.
Jordan Sancho was the hit double figures in goals and assist making only one of three players to achieve that feat last season alongside Lionel Messi himself and Madrid’s midfielder, Eden Hazard.
Dortmund narrowly lost the league to Bayern Munich last season.
