A court in South Africa hearing the case of Peter Frederiksen, the man accused of collecting 21 vaginas and storing them in his fridge, has postponed the hearing for his bail application.
He had initially been charged with sexual assault and crimes under the rainbow nation’s Medicines Act, but the state is expected to add new charges which may include manufacturing, possessing and distributing child pornography, and two counts of conspiracy to murder and bigamy.
The hearing of a second witness in the case was held in camera after the prosecutor requested it.
As the defence had no objection, the judge in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court ordered the media to vacate the press gallery.
Frederiksen’s case took a different turn last month when his wife, 28-year-old Anna Molise, who first reported him to police and had been helping them in their investigations, was shot dead in her home country of Lesotho, in what police has regarded as a hit, News24 reported.
The judge has adjourned the bail hearing to November 12.
