The Chairman, Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) and Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu says President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to find a solution to the leadership crises plaguing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He stated this in a chat with State House correspondents after some APC governors met the president over the ongoing crisis early Monday.

Bagudu met the president in company of Chairman, Northern Governors Forum and Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong and Jigawa State Governor, Abubakar Badaru.

He confirmed that the APC governors met Buhari over party issues.

The PGF chairman added that the president listened attentively to them as they aired their position to support peaceful resolution of the crisis in the ruling party.

Bagudu said that Buhari assured them that an amicable solution would soon be found to the crisis bedevilling the party.

The Herald recalls that the president met Senate President Ahmed Lawan over the crisis on Sunday.

Reacting to Monday’s protests by members at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, the chairman of APC governors said the members were well within their democratic rights to protest.

He added that their views would be taken into account in the process of resolving the crises.
