Mr Babatunde Mesewaku, Chief Organiser, Badagry Festival, says the next edition of the festival will hold between Aug. 20 and Aug. 27.
Mesewaku told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Badagry in an interview that “the theme of this year’s edition is entitled African Diaspora and the Future of Africa.
“It is going to be different from the previous ones because we have different events that would be lined up for the week-long festival.
“There would be a seminar for the youth, boat regatta, tour round the various museums and the grand finale, among others.
“We also have a big surprise; so people should look forward to this year’s edition,’’ he said.
Mesawaku who is also the President, African Renaissance Foundation, disclosed that this year’s edition would also mark the activities to celebrate the 50th year of Lagos State.
