‘Babangida is a pathological liar and coward’ – Asari Dokubo

2 Min Read

Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Voluntary Force, Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo has described former military head of state, General Ibrahim Babangida (retd) as a pathological liar and a coward.

The scathing remarks was made on the heel of statements made by IBB where he said Dokubo was a noisemaker who should go back to the creeks and declare his war against the State.

IBB had chided Dokubo for always threatening war whenever any issue about the Niger Delta is brought up.

In his response, Dokuubo said the statements from Babangida were uncharitable and unwarranted.

He pledged to carry out his threat if and when the opportune time for such an action arose.

He said, “Look, a lot of people have dared me and they have seen that for every step they dared me, I go a step further.

“There is time for everything. I am not going to follow his timetable. I have my own timetable.

“I have my road map. So when it’s time for me to do what I have to do, he cannot shout and he cannot push.”

He said IBB should be jailed for overthrowing a free and fair election.

“He cancelled an election that was free and fair. These are some of the things we have been saying that Nigeria cannot exist because when people like this talk, they offend our sensibilities.”

To literally add further insult to injury, Dokubo said IBB should be mindful of what happened to him the last time he donned a military outfit in Bonny area.

“We knew what happened to him. Up till now he is limping. He had to be flown out.”
