3 Min Read

Popular Nigerian comedian and film maker AY has responded to friends who have being chastising him for forgetting their birthdays.

AY in a tweet called-out these friends who refused to talk to him in the event of him not remembering or celebrating their special days with them.

He pleaded with them to find stylish ways of reminding him when their birthday is due because he cannot remember everybody’s birthday together with the daily Nigerian wahala.

He wrote on twitter, “Dear friends, if wishing u happy birthday on social media means a lot to u, kindly find a way to stylishly remind me of the date rather than getting upset and not talking to me afterwards. I cannot remember everyone’s date of birth in addition to all daily wahala in Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, some days ago, Popular Nigerian comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, took to social media via his Instagram page to celebrate an achievement in his career.

The funny man’s Instagram followers recently reached nine million and it was an achievement worth celebrating.

He went ahead to celebrate all his followers across his other social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Taking things a step further, he promised to give out money to his fans and also an opportunity for free advertising to 30 businesses on his Instastory.

The comedian wrote: “It still feels good to be the most followed stand-up comedian in Africa, and the most followed actor (male) in Nigeria. Thanks to my 9 Million followers on instagram, 5.7 million on Facebook, 1.5 million on twitter and 680k subscribers on youtube making it over 16 Million followers across board.
