“Dem money na just audio,” sang Paul Okoye aka Rudeboy in his 2019 hit sing Audio Money, in which he deplores the fake life people live on social media.
One person that has been at the receiving end of monies that are heard on social media but never seen is BBNaija 2019 housemate, Tacha.
Recall that Tacha was evicted from the house in controversial circumstances, leading to serious social media buzz.
The Rivers State-born star received a number of well-publicised financial pledges, running into millions of naira, from different personalities.
However, she has come out to disclose that the promises were, to use Rudeboy’s words, just “audio”.

One year after the promises were made, she has come out to describe them as scams.
Expressing disappointment, Tacha disclosed during a recent episode of the BBNaija reunion show that the only money she got was raised by her fans through a GoFundMe account.
Asked about the donations she received from people, the housemate said, “The only money that did come in that was legit and made public, was the GoFundMe account.
“And the funny part is that when you see this person say, ‘I’m going to give you this certain millions of naira’, this other person doesn’t want to give.
“They are calculating all the millions and are like, this girl should have a 138m in her account. But most of them were just people making videos to catch clout off of it. All of those millions online, they were all scam.”
