The presidency has reacted to the crisis in Edo State chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC), saying the party can handle all abnormalities in the state.
The Herald gathered that there has been feud between Governor Godwin Obaseki and the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
Speaking about the crisis, the presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said, “Let them go and talk to the party.” Shehu declined further comments on whether it was necessary for President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the crisis.

Presidency source also said that President Buhari would not be personally involved in everything as there were organs responsible for performing certain duties. The source said: “The President doesn’t have to be everywhere; he is not like some others; Buhari is different. “
Meanwhile, The Herald reported that Comrade Adams Oshiomole apologized to the governor of Edo state. Obaseki as well as the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu for the unruly attack of their convoy at Oshiomole’s Residence.
Oshiomhole said the people that carried out the attack were the thugs who invaded the university community on the orders of the Deputy Governor of the state, Hon Philip Shaibu. The tension in the community started last Friday when Shaibu imported thugs into the community with a view to intimidate political opponent.
According to a statement, Oshiomole admitted to leaving the convocation lecture on Thursday through the back so as to avoid being attacked by the thugs who laid siege at the entrance gate of the university.
