The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday met Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State in London.
Also at the meeting were Wike’s allies, Governors Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State accompanied the former Vice President Atiku to the meeting, which held hours after Wike’s team met former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
It also came three days after Wike met the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Details of the meeting remain sketchy as of the time of writing this report, although there are speculations that it was a fence-mending exercise between Atiku and Wike.
