The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo SAN, has slammed the 2023 presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, whose lawsuit caused a US court to order Chicago State University (CSU) to release President Bola Tinubu’s academic records at the school.
The Herald learnt that CSU on Monday turned over the records to Atiku’s lawyers as mandated by the US District Court in Northern Illinois.
Atiku, the first runner-up in the February 25 presidential election in Nigeria, is hoping to use his findings about Tinubu’s academic records to bolster his election petition appeal at the Supreme Court.
In an early Tuesday post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Keyamo said the former Vice President has found it difficult to accept his loss at the last presidential election.
“It is now obvious that the loss of ATIKU Abubakar at the last polls hurt him deeply more than all his previous losses put together; it has since sent him spinning like a drunkard, lashing out to hold on to every single straw that resembles a lifeline.
“This is bad for his health; he should accept that this game is over (as the Chicago State University responses have shown) and retire peacefully to his famed abode.
“Those around him have a role to play in this,” Keyamo said.
