Atiku Reacts To Son’s Recovery From COVID-19 After 40 Days

Atiku Abubakar, Former Vice President and PDP 2019 Presidential Candidate has expressed joy over the recovery of his son, Mohammed Abubakar, from COVID-19 during Ramadan, Islamic festive season.

 

Atiku disclosed this on his verified Twitter handle on Monday, shortly after his son was discharged from the isolation center in Abuja.

 

He wrote:

“With gratitude to God, we are excited, @Mo_Atiku. It couldn’t have come at a better time of the Ramadan. I thank you all for your prayers, even as we remain indebted to the medical personnel who have stayed tireless in their efforts,” he tweeted.

Mohammed Atiku Abubakar has recovered from Coronavirus after he was diagnosed with the disease 6 weeks ago.

 

Mohammed Atiku was one of the earliest confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country alongside the late Chief of Staff to the President Abba Kyari.

 

Announcing his new health status via social media on Monday evening, the younger Atiku thanked well-wishers for their prayers and support.

 

He expressed that he was grateful that his discharge from hospital coincided with the start of the Ramadan season.

 

He noted the global impact of the virus while noting that it has brought various economic classes closer together.

 

He praised the NCDC and Nigerian health workers on the frontline of battling the pandemic while calling for an end to medical tourism by Nigerians.
