Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has predicted that the current recession that Nigeria is undergoing will soon come to an end.
Atiku said that the recession will end and a new age of economic prosperity will begin. He noted that while the recession might take a while to get out of, it will happen.
He stated that to get out of the problem Nigeria finds herself, a lot of work will have to be put in and sacrifices will have to be made.
He said that for a long time, a lot of things that needed to be in place weren’t because of the mismanagement of past leaders.
The former Vice-President congratulated Muslims on the celebration of the festival of Eid el-Kabir celebration and also urged them to use the opportunity to reflect on the situation in the country and support themselves.
He called on Nigerians to continue to work hard, persevere and pray for the success of the policies and measures being put in place by the APC government of President Muhammadu Buhari to restore the nation’s economy to good health and improve the lives of the people.
He said that while the Sallah period was a time to celebrate it is also a period for sober reflection and deep thought.
