Ahead of Saturday’s National Convention of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has paid a visit to ex-Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida in his Minna, Niger state residence.
The duo went into a closed-door meeting some minutes to 1pm, Channels reported.
Atiku who recently decamped from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP is believed to be actively courting PDP bigwigs to support his presidential ambition.
The Waziri Adamawa was received by top officials of the Niger State Government including the state Deputy Governor, Ahmed Ketso.
While the purpose of the visit has not been disclosed, it is believed to be in connection to Atiku’s well-publicised presidential ambition.
