A 32-year-old Iraqi asylum seeker was sentenced by a German court on Tuesday to 11 years in prison for the rape of two Chinese students.
“The DNA collected from the victims indicates the guilt of the man, who also admitted to committing the crimes,’’ Judge Volker Talarowski said.
The defendant dragged his 22 and 28-year-old victims into the bushes on their way to the University of Bochum in western Germany before brutally raping them.
The younger of the two victims was nearly choked to death in the process.
The man was arrested after one of the victims’ boyfriends went back to the scene of the crime and photographed him lurking in the bushes. (dpa/NAN)
