The Kano State Government has spent N10 million on the sponsorship of 182 middle level civil servants who attended the mandatory ASCON workshop and examination.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mustapha Fagge, the Public Relations Officer in the office of the state Head of Service, and issued to newsmen in Kano on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the Head of Service, Muhammad Na’iya, disclosed this at the opening ceremony of the 24th ASCON workshop and examination in Kano.
Na’iya said the proposed computer-based promotion examination for the state civil servants would commence in January 2017.
He charged the participants to make the best use of the opportunity to ensure the success of the programme.
“The programme is aimed at preparing and equipping participants with basic managerial skills to ensure effective service delivery,” he said.
