Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has clinched the title of Nigeria’s most streamed artist of 2023 on Spotify. The streaming giant officially declared this accolade in a comprehensive data release on Wednesday.
Asake’s musical prowess is evident as three of his tracks secured coveted spots in the top 10 list of the most streamed songs on Spotify in Nigeria. “Lonely at the Top” claimed the zenith, “2:30” secured a notable fourth position, and the collaborative effort “Amapiano” with Olamide earned a respectable 10th place.
The Spotify Wrapped for Nigeria reinforced Asake’s dominance, with “Lonely at the Top” securing the top spot. The renowned Burna Boy followed closely in second place, while Davido secured the third position. Seyi Vibez, Omah Lay, BNXN, Rema, Odumodublvck, Olamide, and Wizkid rounded out the remaining positions in the top 10.
Beyond the borders of Nigeria, Asake’s musical influence extended to Togo and Ghana, where he also claimed the title of the most streamed artist.
