Arsenal Can’t Stop Me – Ighalo

2 Min Read

Watford striker Odion Ighalo believes that the club can put up a good showing today against Arsenal when they lock horns on matchday 9 of the 2015/2016 English Premier League season.

Ighalo who has scored 5 goals in 8 appearances for the Hornets this season believes that the club can overcome Arsene Wenger’s side if his teammates will work hard and believe in themselves.

He said: “Arsenal are a big team and it is not going to be easy. They are not a team we are going to take lightly because they are doing very well at the moment. They are not just doing well but also scoring goals.

“So we just have to work hard against them – play to the coach’s instructions, and hopefully we can get all three points or may be one. It is not going to be an easy game because Arsenal are a good team. But in football anything can happen and I am hoping by God’s grace I can add to my goal tally.”

The Super Eagles forward is currently third on the EPL goalscorers chart with 5 goals, behind Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero on 6 and Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy on 7.

Ighalo has scored a goal each against Everton, Swansea City, AFC Bournemouth, and two against Newcastle United this season.

Watford are placed 12th on the league table with 10 points from 8 matches while Arsenal place 2nd with 16 points from 8 matches.
