Armed Chefs: Robbers Cook Up A Storm In Victim’s Kitchen Before Major Operation

Five armed robbers who gained entry to the house of a couple in Lokoja, Kogi state and prepared a meal while robbing the family have been arrested.

The robbers broke into the house in the middle of the night around 2am on the 28th of December. They then ransacked the house and raided the kitchen.

Chris Edime, the father who was fast asleep when the robbers gained access narrated his story to the police:

“They ordered us all to lie face down, 2 of them entered the kitchen to prepare food while two of them drove to the ATM to empty my account.”

The Assistant Superintendent of the police and a public relations officer William Aya gave an account of the police report:

“On the 28th December 2017, at about 0200hours, one Engineer Chris Edume, ‘m’ of Naval Quarters Area, Lokongoma Phase ll, Lokoja reported that unknown gunmen invaded his house, dispossessed him of his Infinity G35X Salon Car with registration no GWA67JS, his ATM card and other household appliances.”

Among the items recovered were an LG Plasma TV, a home electronic theatre, a bag of rice, a single barrel gun, 12 assorted handsets and charms.

However, Mr. Edime said there are still many things missing as he is discovering on a daily basis.

The suspects were paraded on Wednesday by the Kogi State police command.
Those arrested and paraded were a 27-year-old Mohammed Kabiru; 26 years old Musa Mohammed; 26 years old Emmanuel Audu; and 28 years old Yale Yunusa.

Upon further investigation, the police located and arrested a Mohammed Ibrahim who lives in Lagos and recovered an Infinity G35X saloon car.
