Pop star Ariana Grande and real estate broker Dalton Gomez have officially divorced after nearly three years of marriage. A Los Angeles court finalized the judgment on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, six months after Grande filed the petition.
While the couple separated over a year ago, according to court documents, the split appears amicable. They had a prenuptial agreement, no children, and minimal legal disputes, expediting the process.
Grande will reportedly pay Gomez a one-time sum of $1.25 million as part of the settlement. The agreement also includes splitting the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home and Grande covering up to $25,000 of Gomez’s legal fees.
Similar to most California divorces, Grande’s petition cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Grande and Gomez began dating in January 2020 and quarantined together during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were even seen together in the music video for Justin Bieber’s charity single “Stuck With U” that same year. Their engagement followed in December 2020, culminating in a private wedding ceremony at Grande’s Montecito, California home in May 2021.
