Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has threatened to expel students who wear unauthorised clothing to any public school in the State.
This is coming following the move by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Osun state chapter urging christian students in the state to wear their religious robes to school.
Aregbesola stated this at the commissioning of St Micheal’s Government Middle School, Ibokun while reacting to different choir robes and garments wore to Baptist High School in Iwo by some Christian students.
According to him,“Government is not interested in any religion as being speculated. My goal is to improve education standard in the state.’’
He said it was wrong and criminal for a section or group of people to have directed some innocent students to wear choir robes to schools against court’s judgment.
He urged whoever was not satisfied with the judgment to indicate grievance through legitimate means rather than trying to cause crises by resorting to self help.
