2019 started on a good note for Jason Momoa and DC studios as the DC superhero film, Aquaman, featuring popular actor, Jason Momoa, rakes in a whopping $941 million globally in only three weeks making it the biggest Warner Bros. comic-book film since 2012 when “The Dark Knight Rises” earned more than $1 billion.
Years after his role as Khal Drogo on the popular HBO series, Game of Thrones, Momoa once again thrills his fans as he stars in the blockbuster directed by James Wan, renowned horror movie director and director of “Saw”.
Momoa’s character, Aquaman, is the heavily tattooed, quasi-human quasi-Atlantean hero that constantly fights against the dark forces that try to wield the powerful trident of Atlan.
“Escape Room” came in second with a commendable $18.2million dollars while Disney’s family-friendly musical, “Mary Poppins Returns” and sequel to the 1964 film, “Mary Poppins” occupied the third position at $15.9 million Dollars.
