Ijaw National Congress has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of marginalising Niger Delta in key appointments made describing the action as a breach of federal character principle.
Acting President of INC, Mr. Charles Ambaiowei said this while addressing journalists in Lagos.
He said “There is a growing concern among the Ijaw National Congress over the brazen breach of the principle of federal character in the appointments at the federal level. Even elected officers in the National Assembly as well as in the judiciary seem to have this colouration of northernization policy against the south.”
He added that the President’s decision to limit the on-going probe to former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration shows that Buhari is only interested in probing Ijaws.
