The Founder of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman, has revealed why he publicises help he renders to people.
He stated this in a series of tweets on Friday after some Twitter users criticised him for revealing on social media that his wife, Dr Lizzy Suleman, doled out millions to empower some jobless youths.
The fiery preacher had tweeted: “Want to appreciate my lovely wife Dr Lizzy Suleman for empowering 58 youths yesterday with millions of naira (not loan) to start their own businesses after leaving school and staying idle for years..wise people pursue wealth but wiser ones pursue legacy…”
A Twitter user, Kehinde Tanimowo, criticised the pastor for revealing the action, saying it was against biblical injunction to publicise any help rendered to people.
Quoting Matthew 6:2, Tanimowo said, “Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

“Am sorry sir, but its the word of God”
However, Suleman slammed those fond of criticising pastors’ every move.
He said, “Am intolerant of ‘religious believers’ who only know how to counter Kingdom matters..
“You complain pastors don’t help. They do, you complain that they should make it a secret. I help daily..
“I only speak out what’s already known. I will BLOCK you with Love.”
He also revealed why he could not help people and keep quite about it.
Suleman said, “3 reasons – 1. I helped someone who I never met one on one quietly. 2 years later it was used against me..
“2 – The narrative that the church doesn’t help should be changed.
“3 – When you giving money to over 50 people at same time, that’s no more a secret..”
