The running battle between the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha grew even more fiery over the weekend as Okorocha stated the party had no national influence and was only a player in Anambra State.
Speaking to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, Okorocha said it would be tantamount to political suicide to remain in such a party as APGA as it lacked national outlook or influence.
In response the leadership of APGA said it would deal with Okorocha and cause him to leave Imo government house within a few months.
National Chairman of APGA, Victor Umeh said, “Okorocha begged to be given APGA ticket in 2011, he won the election on the platform, he never questioned the spread of the party that time. This tells you about the political character of the man. He will regret the step he has taken either now or in 2015”.
Umeh is also reported as saying that Okorocha begged on his knees to join APGA before the last general elections.
