APC’s Lies And Their Warsaw Saw War Provocations

5 Min Read

Faced with all but certain defeat both at the State and the National level, the APC in Akwa Ibom State has resorted to deploying sick and morally revolting propaganda; they have continued to concoct lies that even the most mentally challenged would laugh at and dismiss as a sick joke.

The latest in their arsenal of lies and propaganda is a petition their State Chairman, Ime Okopido wrote alleging that the State Government through the Honourable Commissioner of Environment, Dr. Iniobiong Essien had caused the billboard of President Buhari to be destroyed, an action that saw the Inspector General of Police, purportedly sending in a Special Squad to Uyo, harass Dr. Essien
This is a lie from the pit of hell, and the APC should be ashamed of itself. Truth is, there are no campaign billboards of President Buhari in Uyo, none whatsoever! It begs the question, which Buhari’s billboards the Honourable Commissioner of Environment supervised its destruction?

The APC believes it can deploy their so-called Federal might to intimidate the good people of Akwa Ibom State and thus take over our State and our resources by force and then proceed to share our commonwealth with their outside sponsors and carpetbaggers.

The good people of Akwa Ibom State will resist this invasion; our youths will stand up and protect our God’s given resources. And if we may ask: can their Federal might kill the majority of Akwa Ibom people who have risen to defend and secure their destiny? Will they shoot and kill all of us? Do they know that the Federal might they think they have control over today may be reversed tomorrow when the PDP wins back power and thus have the full control of those instruments of state security? They should be remineded of the timw=e worn saying that ::what goes around comes around. But if one may ask: Should agencies of the State security be used to oppress the people in a democratic setting?

Akwa Ibom State under the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel has had the most liberal atmosphere of inclusiveness, as part of his Five Point Agenda of Political Inclusion.

The State Government has allowed the opposition to use the State owned and maintained Uyo Township Stadium to do their rallies where they used the platform to rain abuses and insults on the State Governor, yet they were not denied the use of the stadium at other occasions.

In spite of their extreme provocations such as when they held an alternate service to mark the State’s 31 Anniversary, an act that was roundly condemned by majority of Akwa Ibom people as a discretion of our States identity, Governor Emmanuel has stayed above the fray, allowing the voice of the people and the outrage they showed speak to the anger they felt.

The APC has been engaging in provocative acts and we want to tell those they consider their patron saints, that our refusal to engage them thus far does not mean weakness.

There is a little phrase that was used effectively to end the Cold War between the former Soviet Union and the United States; it was called M.A.D, Mutual Assisted Destruction. If the APC believes they have a monopoly over the deployment of violence, they would be in for a rude awakening. We will hold our grounds and secure our destiny, we will not sell our commonwealth to outsiders and these who think they are in the vanguard of the efforts to sell us our commonwealth will understand that there is also a balance of terror that can be equally deployed.

We wish to let the Federal Government and the security agencies understand that our decision to be peaceful does not amount to cowardice. This provocation must stop! A word is enough for the wise!
