APC Condemns Minister Umahi for Praising Anambra Governor Soludo

The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Minister of Works Dave Umahi for publicly praising Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s infrastructure development in the state. This criticism stems from the fact that Umahi’s comments are seen as undermining the APC’s efforts, as the party is fielding candidates for the upcoming governorship election in November.

According to Dr. Valentine Oliobi, the state’s publicity secretary, Umahi’s praise was mere flattery, and Soludo has failed the people of Anambra State. Oliobi pointed out several areas where Soludo has fallen short, including shoddy road contracts, poor economy, and failed security. Specifically, Soludo’s newly constructed roads are already washing away, the state’s economy has not improved under his leadership, and security concerns remain unaddressed.

The APC has also accused Umahi of lacking discretion, considering he works for an APC government and his party is competing against Soludo in the upcoming election. Furthermore, Umahi and Soludo allegedly have joint interests in federal road construction projects in Anambra. This has raised concerns about Umahi’s loyalty to the APC and its governorship aspirations in the state.
