A video has emerged of the moment the mother of two teenage girls impregnated by Nduka Anyanwu, a 28-year-old self-acclaimed pastor with the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement tried to prevent his arrest.
Anyanwu who claims to lead Lord’s Chosen, Canaan Land Branch, Oshodi in Lagos allegedly impregnated the sisters aged 17 and 13 after their parents brought them to him for prayers.
After the girls got pregnant, he reportedly agreed to marry the 17-year-old while offering to procure abortion for the 13-year-old.
Pressed on his reason for impregnating the teenagers, the pastor reportedly said that they bore evil spiritual marks and only by him having sexual intercourse with them could they be delivered.
Anyanwu was arrested Monday by a police team from Makinde Police Station led by the DPO.
However, the arrest did not go without incident as the girls’ mother resisted, saying the police should leave him alone.
A video of the incident has surfaced on the internet.
“No, I said he is not going,” the woman can be heard saying.
A female police officer can also be heard warning the suspect to respect himself and follow the police team gently as he can be seen begging not to be arrested.
