Veteran Hollywood actor, Anthony Hopkins has celebrated 45 years of being sober.

On Tuesday, the Oscar-winning actor, 82, who has delighted fans with videos on Instagram, shared an inspirational post talking about his journey to recovery.

Anthony Hopkins revealed that 45 years ago he received a “wake up call.”

“I was headed for a disaster,” he explained. “I was drinking myself to death. I’m not preachy but I got a message, a little though that said, ‘Do you want to live or die?’ And I said, ‘I want to live’ and suddenly the relief came.”

“You young people, don’t give up, just keep in there, just keep fighting. Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid.” He added.

Meanwhile, Tuck Tucker, who was known for his contributions on popular Nickelodeon animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants has reportedly passed away at 59.

Tucker’s family announced the sad news via Facebook. “It is with a heavy and broken heart that the Tucker family announces the death of Tuck Tucker, father, husband, son, brother, and uncle,” Bailey Tucker wrote.
