Coming weeks after a Nigerian doctor identified as Allwell Orji committed suicide in the Lagos lagoon, another medical practitioner has been reported to have made an attempt on his life.
The Nigerian medical doctor identified as Olutobi Ajao was reported to have ingested 80 tablets of different medicines in an attempt to commit suicide.
The graduate of the Igbinedion University, Edo, was reported to have been rescued by friends after he took to his social media page to announce his suicide move.
Dr. Ajao was reported to have taken to his social media page to write: “Finally went through with it. Ingested about 80 tablets of different drugs. If and when I die, please do remember that it was oro that killed me.”
The doctor was however saved from his untimely death by friends who rallied round and sought for help on his behalf.
A friend of the doctor was reported to have disclosed that he had been found and resucitated six hours after he made the suicide post.
