Following the arrest of billionaire kidnap kingpin and crime lord, Evans, investigations has revealed more properties belonging to the crime lord.
According to documents which were discovered after a thorough search of his mansion at Magodo phase 2, Lagos, the kidnap kingpin was revealed to have sent a total of N20 million to his wife in Ghana four days before his arrest through a Bureau de Change which delivered the money to her in Ghanaian Cedi.
According to further investigations, another mansion in Ghana belonging to the arrested crime lord has also been discovered bringing the total properties he has been found to own in the West African country to three.
Vanguard further reported that detectives attached to the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Team, IRT, led by Abah Kyari, have further commenced inventory of all the landed and physical properties owned by the arrested kidnap kingpin, Evans.
Information also revealed that the police unit is conducting inquiries into all transactions carried out by the kidnap kingpin with banks in the country within the period he was terrorizing Nigerians.
Sources close to the case revealed that detectives will further beam their investigative searchlights into every part of the country where he operated including neighboring countries.
Sources further disclosed that Ghana and South Africa will top the list of countries where investigative measures will be taken.
“This is because, we would like to find out how he was able to knock out our intelligence efforts towards arresting him for so long. If not that the Inspector-General of Police equipped us with the latest communication gadgets, it would have been impossible to arrest Evans.
“So far, Evans, has been trying to recant all the confessional statements he made earlier during interrogation but I assure you that very soon, he will open up and we will nail him finally.”
