Anonymous group known for hacking government institutions and websites has launched a series of cyber attacks against major Nigerian websites.
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) , Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have been targeted in fresh cyber attacks by the infamous group.
This is coming after the hackers on Thursday issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the federal government to grant the demands of its citizens or face the consequences.
It will be noted that Nigerians embarked on a week-long protest across different states, demanding an end to police brutality.
Identifying with the groanings of the masses, Anonymous shutdown CBN, INEC and EFCC websites to show solidarity with the people.
Nigerians have continued to clamour for a total reformation of the Nigeria Police Force as many said they will not back down until the government yields to their demands.
