Internet sensation, Andrew Tate has continued to tweet from his verified Twitter page despite his arrest and detention.
Andrew and his brother, Tristan, were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.
Andrew Tate, 36, was filmed being led from his luxury villa by police after a raid on Thursday, amid reports he was being investigated alongside his brother by the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT).
The duo was detained alongside two Romanian citizens, although the investigation into their activities reportedly began in April.
“The four suspects … appear to have created an organised crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialised websites for a cost,” the prosecutor said in a statement late Thursday.
Tate and his brother were initially detained for 24 hours, and prosecutors asked a Bucharest court on Friday to extend the detention by 30 days.
The Herald could not immediately confirm if the request was granted.
In a Friday tweet, the British citizen tweeted, “The Matrix sent their agents.”
The tweet was put out at 11:30 am on Friday, hours after the millionaire kickboxer had been taken into custody.
Andrew Tate’s account also retweeted an Elon Musk tweet four hours later.
