Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has lost his father, Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, at the age of 92.
The Herald understands that Soludo’s father passed away in the early hours of Monday after an illness.
Confirming the demise of the governor’s father, Soludo’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, said: “Yes, it is true. I will soon issue a statement on it.”
Soludo stated that his late father “lived a fulfilling life and passed away at a ripe old age,” as reported by Mr Aburime.
“Pa Soludo is survived by seven sons, eight daughters-in-law, 22 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren,” Mr Aburime added.
Mr Aburime also mentioned that “further information will be communicated to the public in due course.”
