A group of American Scientists have discovered that Vitamin B12 could be the cause of Acne and Break Outs.
A new study has found a link between vitamin B12 and Acne, which means that reducing the amount you eat will have a big impact on your skin.
In the research which was published in the Science Translational Medicine journal, the American team explained that “Future follow-up studies may potentially lead to the development of new therapeutics for this medically important disease.”
Vitamin B12 which can be found in meat, eggs, dairy and fish changes the way bacteria in the skin works and this results in increase in Acne.
The vitamin changes the chemical activity of Propionibacterium, the acne-inducing bacteria, meaning it starts to create an inflammatory mixture which causes spots.
