Mr Babatunde Hunpe, Special Adviser on Environment to Lagos State Governor, failed to deliver his Ajara Ward, Badagry, in Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

His political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), lost to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), garnering 2,294 votes against the latter’s 2,318 votes, in the presidential poll in the area.

Hunpe, who is APC’s candidate for Badagry constituency in the House of Representatives, however, defeated his PDP opponent, Mr Seyon Hunyinbo, in the ward.

He won with 2,780 votes as Hunyinbo got 1,681 votes.

Also, APC’s candidate for the senatorial seat in the area, Olamilekan Adeola, polled 2, 271 votes to defeat PDP’s Gbadebo Rhodes, who scored 1,873 votes in the ward.

In neighbouring Apa ward, APC scored 1,246 votes in the presidential poll as against 1,059 polled by PDP.

Collation of other results are ongoing in other wards and areas in the state as at 4 p.m. (NAN)
